The donation was received by the Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) – Major General (Maj Gen) Thomas Oppong-Peprah, who urged greater collaboration between the Army and public-spirited corporate institutions, towards the greater well-being all humanity.
Speaking to the press, the Chief Staff Officer (CSO), Army HQ – Brigadier General (Brig Gen) Michael Amoah Ayisi, stated that the items donated, would go a long way to enhance the operations of the Ghana Army, who have deployed personnel in the field, and would need these things to sustain them.
Brig Gen Amoah Ayisi said that the items, invaluable in the performance of duties, would protect the troops against any contamination, but however further implored that, although government provides materials in fighting the pandemic, because the fight is international in character, everyone must contribute their efforts, to be able to achieve the common goal.
