By Colonel E AGGREY-QUASHIE – Director Public Relations

The attention of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has been drawn to a report by the online publication, WHATSUP NEWS, of Friday, 3 July 2020, alleging that five soldiers who are part of the military personnel deployed in the Volta Region, have been rushed to hospital, unconscious.

We wish to state categorically that this report is totally false; it should be disregarded and treated with the contempt it deserves.

No soldier has been rushed to any medical facility in the Volta Region, to the 37 Military Hospital or any other hospital.

GAF wishes, once again, to reiterate our call on the media, to be circumspect in their reportage on the Armed Forces and to cross-check with our Public Relations Directorate on such pertinent issues, to avert obvious misrepresentations, which do not serve the public interest.
