Colonel (Col) Tcheninho Barry – a presidential aide of Guinea-Bissau, led a delegation to visit the Ghana Company (GHANCOY 1), serving with ECOWAS Stabilization Support Mission in Guinea-Bissau (ESSMGB), since its insertion into the mission.

The maiden visit by the presidential aide on Thursday 30th June 2022, was to officially welcome GHANCOY 1 to Guinea-Bissau, familiarise himself with the contingent, obtain first-hand information on the progress of ongoing construction works being undertaken by the Presidency and to observe camp development.

The Combat Team Commander of ESSMGB-GHANCOY 1 – Lieutenant Colonel (Lt Col) David Korsah, welcomed Col Barry and expressed his gratitude to him for making time to visit the Company.

The Combat Team Commander also thanked the Guinea-Bissau presidency for the immense support of providing accommodation and camp facilities for GHANCOY 1.

Lt Col Korsah later led the delegation on a tour around the camp and assured him of the commitment, enthusiasm and competence of the Ghanaian Officers and Soldiers under his command, to carry out their mission, in order to achieve the overall mandate of the Force.

Col Tcheninho Barry assured the Company that the Presidency will accelerate the process of camp development and make the GHANCOY feel at home, as soon as possible, while the Presidency corporates with the company in executing their duties.
