The Commanding Officer (CO) of the 66 Artillery Regiment (66 Arty Regt) – Lieutenant Colonel (Lt Col) Edward Sarpong Appiah, has charged beneficiaries of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) Command Skills Training program, to put the skills acquired to good use, as he will monitor how they use the skills acquired for the benefit of their families.


Lt Col Appiah made the remarks as one hundred and twenty (120) beneficiaries of the Command Skills Training graduated from the program on Friday, 5 August 2022 at the Volta Barracks, Ho, after 9 weeks.


The nine-week skills development training, which started on 6th June 2022, was an initiative of GAF High Command, to equip female spouses of military personnel and other female spouses of Security Services in all Garrisons across the country, with employable skills to help their families, economically.


The Spouses were taken through the production of soap, ice-cream, make up, fascinator, flower arrangement and decor, preservatives, confectionaries and food, juice drinks, ornaments such as beads, among others.


Dignitaries that attended the graduation included Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Juliana Mawusi of the Volta Regional Police Command, Reverend Father Superintendent Francis Eboo – Chaplain, Ghana Prisons Service, Ho, Regional Director, Ghana Enterprise Agency – Mr Seth Komla Klutse and Head of Business Advisory Centre – Madam Selase Adolphine Donudenu.
